I have been connected with Houston Graduate School of Theology since the summer of 1999, with a brief hiatus during the 2015-2016 academic year. I was a full-time faculty member from 1999-2015, and now I teach adjunct courses in the field of Old Testament and Hebrew.

Racial Justice and Reconciliation

For the past few years, I have become more and more convinced of the need for racial justice in our country. I have written some papers and participated in several seminars to this end. Below are some of these papers, one on racial justice and one on human trafficking as viewed through the lens of Judges 19.

"From Jim Crow to Bonhoeffer to Holocaust: Lynching, Harlem Renaissance, Holocaust, and Racial Healing"

"Judges 19 as a Paradigm for Understanding and Responding to Human Trafficking"

If you are interested in helping to fight against human trafficking, I recommend the following organizations.
